Sharon Sheridan
Awarded £4,250Sharon wants to buy safety equipment for the Manchester Roller Derby.
Roller Derby is an intense exciting and fast growing new sport. MRD est 03/2010 already attracts over 25 skaters per session and we have almost 50 regular members we are unique in that we offer sessions to ALL regardless of age, gender or economic status. we provide all the equipment needed to get started, but it was cheap and has taken a battering. we need proper quality equipment for our beginners to learn with. we get no sponsorship and pay to play we buy our own kit, we want to be the best in the country at what we do. we want to gain experience from lots locally, demand is high to take part, but so far we've had no funding and have survived on the currency of favours and goodwill.
£4250 covers the cost of skates and full kit for 25 new skaters. that is all we need for 2010.

Jack Stubbs
Awarded £1,000Jack wanted to raise money for the University of Sheffield Lacrosse Club.
We have four teams representing the University of Sheffield at all different levels. We have recently enjoyed wide-ranging success both in the UK and internationally and our reputation as a club that deliver on the pitch AND know how to have a good time is attracting more and more members. From hardened ex-international players to complete beginners we welcome anyone and everyone. But more members require more resources... travel expenses, pitch hire and kit for new members leave a particularly big dent! Although getting bigger, Lacrosse is still a niche sport in the UK and we don't receive a penny of government funding. We want as many people as possible to enjoy the sport we love and it's your votes that will help us do this!
Marco Gianetti
Awarded £2,500Marco wants to coach disabled youngers and adults to play football.
I was born with a condition called Aspergers Syndrome which is a form of Autism and have always had a love for football. Although I have never been much of a player myself I learnt that there is a worldwide disability football network and my local team Plymouth Argyle has a team catering for varying degrees of disability. A lot of clubs like this need coaches to help the players and I would like the chance to do the FA Coaching course because it would not only benefit myself by helping improve my social skills and confidence but also in turn benefit so many young people and adults with disabilities who have a love for football as I do and who'd love to play the game. A Bring it on Britain award would enable me to realise my dream and make such a difference to thousands of others.

Our club enjoys nothing more than spending time in the woods shooting at foam bears, deers, rabbits and other animals, never anything living though! The only problem is they are wearing out, vital bits missing and all that. We could really do with a bit of money to replace a few as they are really expensive :( This is a great family sport where anyone can have a go. Please vote for us and keep our club going. Thank you for looking xxxxx
